Nurse Neal supports the health care needs of our students as the school nurse. She has been a nurse since 2013 when she earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia. Nurse Neal held the Nationally Certified School Nurse designation from 2018-2023 and relies upon the wealth of knowledge obtained since becoming a school nurse in 2015 to provide excellent care to students and families in the school setting. 

School nursing is a specialized practice of nursing that protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success.  In addition to providing assessment, first aid, and comfort measures for students ill or injured at school, Nurse Neal has responsibility over health record management, medications at school, annual health screenings, medical emergency preparedness, staff training, and more!
